The North West Simon Community have expressed their gratitude to McElhinney's after €16,000 was raised in a charity sleep-out.

The team at McElhinney's, Ballybofey, participated in their annual sleep-out last month with all of the funds going directly to the North West Simon Community.

"Thank you to the fabulous team at McElhinney's for raising an unbelievable €16,000 for the North West Simon Community and to every person who donated," Collette Ferguson, Fundraising Development Officer of North West Simon Community, told DonegalLive

"The €16,000 will go directly to support the services provided to help prevent and resolve homelessness across the region at a time when we need it most. Thank you, thank you so much, we are forever grateful for your support."

McElhinney's said: "As a team we are so grateful to be able to support local charities that are close to our hearts and that make a massive difference in our own communities. We recently slept out for the North West Simon Community and raised a total of €16,000. Thank you to everyone who donated, liked, shared or came with food on the night!"
