Carrigans Tidy Towns shared photos of the damaged walls on their social media
Carrigans Tidy Towns has asked for a driver who managed to knock sections of roadside walls on both sides of the road to help repair the damage.
A part of the wall at the grounds of Dunmore House was knocked in, as was the wall opposite on Friday lunchtime, with track marks also on the grass.
“Some destruction in Carrigans sometime on Friday, a section of walls on both sides of the road beside Murray Tiles demolished,” they posted. “Tyre tracks evident in the grass, how the driver managed to hit both walls is beyond us, if it was a genuine accident. Would the driver please fix or pay towards fixing the walls (give anonymously), or else it will be down to Tidy Towns to fix out of the good people’s donations.”
