Gardaí appeal following theft of 42 tonne stone crusher in east Donegal

Gardaí recently received a report in relation to the theft of a blue Pegson 42 tonne stone crusher from Fearn, Castlefin.

The machine had been parked in a yard at that location since approximately September last year and when the owner went to check on it this week they realised that it had been stolen.

“We are in the process of narrowing down the timeline during which the theft occurred,”  Garda Niall Maguire said.

“We appeal to anybody in the roads/construction business or to anybody who may have come across this item for sale to make contact with gardaí.

“The owner is at a substantial loss as a result of this theft and we are anxious to progress the investigation.

“If anybody can assist with relevant information we ask them to contact Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100. The Garda Confidential line may be contacted on 1800 666 111.”
