Donegal County Council sign contract for a turnkey development in Ballybofey

The signing of contracts for Turnkey Acquisition at Donegal Road, Ballybofey

Donegal County Council recently completed a contract for a turnkey development of 14 social houses at Donegal Road, Ballybofey.

MBC Building Contractors will undertake the development, having entered the Council’s turnkey acquisition programme. The development has commenced on site and is due to be completed in phases with the final phase to be completed in September 2025. The development will provide high-quality, sustainable homes for 14 families from the Council’s social housing waiting list in Ballybofey/Stranorlar.

"This is brilliant news on a number of fronts," local councillor Patrick McGowan said. "The more social houses built and let means the more vacant houses there will be for private letting and help bring down rents based on availability. I hope to see a much-improved housing situation in the next 12 to 18 months."
