Treble success for Stranorlar at Bus Éireann’s regional annual GEM awards

A total of three awards are going home to Stranorlar with winners of ‘Apprentice of the Year’, Executive Officer of the Year’, and the ‘Going Green Award’ being won by locals

Treble success for Stranorlar at Bus Éireann’s regional annual GEM awards

Stranlorar had reason to celebrate with a triple success at Bus Éireann’s regional annual GEM (‘Go the Extra Mile’) Awards.

The awards recognise excellent customer service, community impact, performance and forward-thinking. Awards were issued in a number of different categories including Apprentice of the Year, Depot of the Year, Craftworker of the Year and several other categories including driver and community awards.

A total of three awards are going home to Stranorlar with winners of ‘Apprentice of the Year’, Executive Officer of the Year’, and the ‘Going Green Award’ being won by locals.

Eoin McGloin won ‘Apprentice of the Year’ for his attention to detail and willingness to learn. The ‘Going Green Award’ championing green initiatives was awarded to Shaun Doherty. The ‘Executive Officer of the Year’ went to Adam Anderson in recognition of his support for colleagues.

The Bus Éireann regional awards take place across the country in October and the winners of each region will go forward to the National GEM awards on December 11 in Dublin. Bus Éireann looks forward to the opening of the newly refurbished Limerick Bus Station and the launch of our electrified city services in 2024.
