An Garda Siochana have asked motorists to drive with extreme caution

Gardaí have warned of a drop into a drain on an east Donegal road after a lorry went off the road today.

Driving conditions were difficult throughout the county following overnight snow and freezing temperatures.

“A road traffic collision occurred earlier today at Cavan Lower on the N15 between Stranorlar and Killygordon,” they said. “A lorry went off the road but it has since been removed from the scene and the road has been reopened. As a result of the collision, there is now no grass verge where the collision occurred and there is a drop along the roadside into a drain. Please drive with extreme caution in the area. Slow down and remain alert.
