Crana College in Buncrana have warned parents and guardians about a scam text in their name.

With sixth-year students about to return to school tomorrow, Thursday, morning, a text message has been circulating, partially saying: "We look forward to welcoming our sixth-year students tomorrow at 9.00am. Students are asked to pay €30 to cover the cost of a Locker, school lock and IT/photocopying expenses."

However, the school has insisted that this has not been asked for: "Scam Alert: A fake text message is circulating. It was NOT sent by our school. Do not click links or share info."
