"Mrs Byrne was always kind, caring, supportive, and helpful to both the children and her colleagues alike. She joined Dromore from Trim, Co Meath, where she had taught for some years, and she also spent five years teaching in Spain. She generously shared these experiences with us, enriching the life of our school community.
"During her time at Dromore, Mrs Byrne held a post of responsibility and was a valued member of the management team. She served on the Board of Management and was an active representative for the school with the INTO. Her legacy is wide-reaching, from her work with the Green Team to organising Spanish lessons for the children, but most of all, through the inspiration and encouragement she gave to the children.
"Her classroom was always a happy place, where children learned with kindness, patience, and encouragement. Though she may be retiring from teaching, her influence will continue in the children whom she taught and in every heart she has touched.
"As she moves into this next exciting chapter, we hope her days will be filled with peace, adventure, and the satisfaction of knowing she has made a big difference. Thank you for everything, Mrs Byrne. A big thanks also to Hugh, Elena and Conor who shared Clare with all of us in Dromore. Congratulations on your retirement. We wish you a long, happy, healthy, and enjoyable future."
