Local elections: Anne Marie Rodgers and Michael Harkin eliminated in Glenties

Former Councillor David Alcorn among those crunching numbers in Glenties

Anne Marie Rodgers (FF) and Michael Harkin (Aontu) have been eliminated on the fourth and fifth count in the Glenties electoral area.

Rodgers was eliminated on the fourth count with Harkin exiting the race on the fifth.

After the distribution of the votes of Jimmy Duffy (308) and Rodgers (397), Anthony Molloy (FF) is the leading candidate for the third seat in the area.

Molloy is currently on 1,500 with the quota set at 1,883.

Denis McGee of the 100% Redress Party (1,088) and the Sinn Fein duo John Sheamais O Fearraigh (1,068) and Brian Carr (1,052) are neck-and-neck.

Kellie Rodgers of Sinn Fein is on 942 with Independent Jonathan Stewart on 876.
