World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims takes place Sunday, November 16
Two memorial events will be held in Donegal for “World Remembrance Day”.
The events will be held in Ballyshannon and Letterkenny tomorrow.
During the 11 am Mass at Kilbarron RC Parish, those who have lost their lives on the roads, along with family, friends and communities affected, will be prayed for.
At 1 pm in the Mount Errigal Hotel, families are welcome to bring a photograph of their loved one(s) to be displayed during the ceremony, should they wish to do so.
The designated day offers an opportunity for families, communities and nations around the world to remember all those who have sadly lost their lives or who have been seriously injured on the road. On this day, we also honour the bereaved, the survivors and the emergency service personnel who respond to these types of tragedies.
