A resident in Drumboe Cottages, Stranorlar, heard knocking sounds, so they got up to go outside to check around the house only to discover that damage had been caused to their car.
The boot spoiler had been knocked off and damage was caused to the rear passenger side tail light.
This incident occurred shortly before 2:10am on Sunday, March 3.
“We appeal to anybody who may have been in that general area in the early hours who had a dash cam to make the footage available to us,” a garda spokesperson said.
“If anybody can assist with relevant information we ask them to contact Letterkenny Garda Station on 074-9167100.”
