Ballybofey car park
Gardaí have received recent reports of individuals who have allegedly been approaching people in car parks.
It is usually elderly people that are approached and they have been offering to sell the people perfume or begging for money, fuel or various other reasons.
All reported incidents so far have been in the Ballybofey area.
“We ask people to please contact gardaí immediately if they are approached in this manner,” a garda spokesperson said. “Never buy goods in this manner on the street. We also ask people to give their money/donations to a registered charity if they wish to rather than handing over money to a stranger.”
