Caolan McGonagle - missing from Donegal 26 for Sunday

Donegal have named their 26 players to take on Monaghan in the Ulster SFC quarter-final and the notable absentee is Buncrana’s Caolan McGonagle.

Odhrán McFadden Ferry has been handed the No 6 jersey with Jeaic Mac Ceallabhuí named at half-back. Mac Ceallabhuí's inclusion is the only change from the starting line-up against Derry.

Eoin McHugh is back in the substitutes list while Oisin Gallen, Jason McGee and Michael Langan are also listed among the substitutes for the game.

Mark Curran is also a significant name that is missing from the 26 from the Derry game.

It remains to be seen what the starting 15 will be as we saw in MacCumhaill Park, Ballybofey against Derry, there were  three changes to the team that was named to that which took the field for the throw-in.

Jim McGuinness goes into the game with a fantastic record in the Ulster championship, having lost just one of the 18 games he has managed in. That game was the 2013 Ulster final against Sunday’s opponents, Monaghan.

Gabriel Bannigan has also named his Monaghan side for the game.
