Michael Jack O'Donnell, the Glenties photographer and an avid supporter of Naomh Conaill and the Donegal county side, graced the sidelines of every GAA pitch in Donegal and far beyond from the 1980s until his passing in 2021.
"It's lovely to see that there is now an annual Michael Jack Trophy, awarded to the Intermediate Ladies Player of the Match at the Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta Finals. The trophy was presented today for the first time at the finals in Ardara," Naomh Conaill GAA club posted. "The proud recipient was Lauren Nic Giolla Chearra of the Gaeil Fhanáda Club and she received the award from Bernie, John and Bradas. It's great to now see Michael's name and memory being kept alive at #CPnaG each year."
