Gaeil Fhánada 0-13
Carndonagh 1-10
Gaeil Fhanada and Carndonagh could not be separated at the end of the proverbial game of two halves in Portsalon, on Sunday afternoon.
The locals played with a stiff breeze in their favour in the opening half and, by and large, held the upper hand in the half.
They led by four points, 0-7 to 0-3, at half-time before going six up to lead 0-9 to 0-3 early in the second period.
But a Michael Noone goal reduced the margin to three and thanks to two point scores from Fergal Doherty and Ryan Kelly, Cardonagh had hit the front by the three-quarter mark.
In a tit for tat final quarter Michael O’Donnell managed Inishowen side led by one with the clock ticking.
