Red Hughs continue to set the pace in Division Three of the All-County League following Sunday’s eight-point win over Naomh Ultan in Dunkineely.

Colm Melaugh, Cathair Browne, Johnny Carlin, Jack Gillespie, and Calvin Bradley were all in fine scoring form for the men from the Crossroads. They proved a little too hot to handle for a stretched Naomh Ultan side.

The winners laid down an early marker, and thanks to a Colm Melaugh goal, they led by three points, 1-6 to 0-6, at half-time.

They kicked on in the second period to outscore the locals, who were short a number of regulars, by nine points to four in the second half.

Cian Kennedy top-scored for the locals, ending the game with five points to his name. Jonathan Bach, Patrick White, and Aaron Byrne were the other Naomh Ultan men to raise white flags.
