In a heartwarming kind gesture, Donegal forward Niall O’Donnell paid a visit to St Eunan’s U13 forward Ethan Sullivan in Temple Street Children’s Hospital, Dublin.

O’Donnell, who also plays for St Eunan’s, gifted Ethan a Donegal jersey during his surprise visit.

Ethan is the son of Eugene Sullivan and is the nephew of former Donegal and St Eunan’s forward, Brendan Devenney. Ethan is currently recovering in Temple Street after picking up an injury playing against Buncrana.

St Eunan’s GAA posted: “We want to send our best wishes to young Ethan Sullivan who picked up a nasty injury playing for our U13s in Buncrana. Ethan is currently in hospital in Dublin but is doing good and hopefully will be home in the next few days. A great young player with a bright future in the Black and Amber just like his dad Eugene and uncle Brendan Devenney.”

Niall O’Donnell scored the winning point for Donegal against Armagh in the Ulster Final in May, leading the team to win 2-23 to 0-28 after extra time.
