Jason McGee looks set for back-to-back starts as Donegal name team for Galway

Jason McGee started his first match of 2025 last Sunday against Louth

Donegal have named their 26-man panel ahead of the All-Ireland SFC quarter-final against Monaghan, with Jason McGee again named to start.

Injury meant McGee’s start last Sunday before Hugh McFadden saw out the game, was the Falcarragh native's first in almost a year, since last year's semi-final loss to Galway.

Donegal overcame Louth 2-22 to 0-12 in the preliminary quarter-final last week in Ballybofey and face Monaghan at 4pm on Saturday at Croke Park. Monaghan were last in action two weeks ago, 2-27 to 1-26, to win a third round-robin group stage.

Caolan McColgan is again named on the bench but is expected to come into the starting team as he did in each of the last two weeks. Eoin McHugh also replaces Mark Curran in the 26.
