Donegal lost out to Armagh in the Ulster SFC final
For the second consecutive year, Donegal find themselves battling to retain their TG4 LGFA Senior Championship status, as they take on Armagh in a crucial relegation playoff today.
And ahead of that 2pm tangle in Stewartstown, Co. Tyrone, is a rematch of this season’s Ulster final, Donegal boss James Daly has named his side.
Armagh, who have claimed back-to-back Ulster titles and finished as runners-up in the Lidl Ladies Division One League, were widely seen as serious contenders for the All-Ireland championship.
However, a draw against Meath and a loss to Kildare have left them unexpectedly fighting to avoid the drop.
The winners will retain their SFC status while the losers will have one final bite of the cherry, against the losers of Mayo and Leitrim, scheduled for Saturday, July 12.
