Two lucky Donegal boys got to play in Croke Park at half-time of Donegal against Meath in the All-Ireland Championship semi-final.
Oisín Carr of St Francis NS, Barnesmore, who plays for Four Masters Donegal Town and Jack Dowds of Glenswilly NS who plays for Glenswilly played in the iconic grounds as part of the GAA, INTO/Cumann na mBunscol Respect Exhibition Go Games.
The already-special experience was made even better with Donegal’s 3-26 to 0-15 win over Meath sending the county into the All-Ireland Championship final for the first time since 2014.
The GAA, INTO/Cumann na mBunscol Respect Exhibition Go Games have been a firm favourite with all involved in the primary schools Gaelic Games calendar since 1987. These games give boys and girls from schools large and small, urban and rural, the opportunity to participate either as a player or referee in Croke Park on big match days every year.
