As many as 25 GAA stewards who you would regularly see at club and county matches doing great voluntary work will also get their day out in Croke Park on Sunday for the All-Ireland final.
The volunteers were contacted this week to be part of the stewarding of the big game between Donegal and Kerry and it is great recognition for the work they day at local and provincial level.
The Donegal stewards will be signing in at 11 a.m. in Croke Park for their briefing and then will be allocated to various parts of the grounds.
Donegal Chief Steward, Edward Molloy, said they were delighted to have got the call. “It came out of the blue and it was something that we didn’t even think would happen.
“It is something new but we were really pleased to be invited. It will be nice to play our part also on All-Ireland final day,” said Molloy.
