James O’Donoghue, ex-Kerry on the The Football Pod: “Kerry expected Jim McGuinness to set up to try to stop David Clifford. But under the new rules you almost have to rob one side to sort the other. 

“They overloaded one David’s flank but on the other side, Dylan Geaney was on the other side looking for the switch, waving his hands, as no one was on him. 

“Paudie at the top of the D, Mogan had him one time, Roarty the next and even Moore after that. Surely Donegal had a meeting where they would have said this is one of the best players in the country, let’s tag him. 

“That system just did not suit the game as Kerry were just too cute getting in between the lines”
