Shaun McGee, Luke Clerkin and second half substitute Oisin Bonner scored the goals as Dessie Gallagher’s charges sauntered to a comfortable victory and to an almost assured  place in the knockout stages in the championship.

Goalscorers Clerkin, McGee and Bonner along with Ryan Connors, Daire Gallagher, Barry Curran, Darren Curran, Mark Curran and Aaron Ward scored the points for the locals who had ten different scorers.

Ryan Cunningham top scored for Killybegs and ended the game with a personal tally of four points.

Josh Colyer, Hugh McFadden, Odhran McGuinness, Seamus Og Byrne and Jack McSharry also raised white flags for the Fishermen.

Dungloe led by a point at half-time 0-7 to 0-6 with six different scorers and all from play. Josh Colyer with a two point free, Hugh McFadden from a free, Evan Broderick, Ryan Cunningham and Odhran McGuinness a point each.

Dungloe played into the stiff crossfield breeze and up the hill. The early exchanges were very cagey as the two teams sussed each other out.  Ryan Connors and Dylan Sweeney kicked two early points in the opening five minutes to open up a 0-2 to 0–0 lead.

Evan Broderick finally got Killybegs up by running on eight minutes.

And while Daire Gallagher responded for Dungloe with a fine score Killybegs, after a nervous start, grew into the game. And with Hugh McFadden proving a handful in the middle third the county man pointed from a close in free.

Danny Rodgers had to be at his best to deny Ryan Cunningham and Jack McSharry from close range with two wonderful saves.

Ryan Cunningham tied up the game at 0-3 each on 20 minutes and it was still all square at 0-4 each before Josh Colyer with the game’s only two point score tied up the game at 0-6 each with second left in the half. But a Luke Clerkin strike after a sweeping  move sent it up at half-time.

Ryan Cunningham from a free and Seamus Og Byrne from play edged Killybegs ahead for the first time in the opening five minutes early in the second period.

But the Fishermen’s lead was short lived. Mark Curran after a great run tied up the game and seconds later Dungloe scored the first of their three goals.

Josh Colyer did well to deny Ryan Greene from close range. But the keeper could only bat the ball away and Shaun McGee made no mistake from the rebound.

Dungloe were now back in front 1-8 to 0-8.

That was on 42 minutes and two minutes later the impressive Luke Clerkin polished off a good Dungloe move for goal number two and a 2-9 to 0-8 lead.

Dungloe were now on top and Oisin Bonner with his first touch after being introduced sunk the dagger for goal number three nine minutes from the end of normal time.

Dungloe kicked on with further points Bonner and Barry Curran to lead 3-12 to 0-8 before Killybegs added three late points, their first scores 25 minutes,
