Naomh Padraig, Lifford went out on a high with Saturday’s runaway win over neighbours Robert Emmets in the Donegal Junior A Championship Round 4 tie in Pairc MacDiarmada.

Brian Breslin and Jonny Robb scored the goals while Breslin, Robb, Micky Gallagher, Eoin Doherty, Daniel Lindsay, Sean Monaghan, Shane Gallagher, Matthew Doherty and Sean Matthew Browne all registered in the 22-point win.

Robert Emmets, with a quarter-final place already secured, fielded a shadow team with only goalkeeper Sam McGlinchey and midfielder Niall Quinn regular members of their usual starting team.

Dominic McGlinchey rolled back the years to kick four of Robert Emmets’ six points with Quinn and Dean Kelly posting the other two.

Naomh Padraig scorers: Brian Breslin 1-6; Jonny Robb 1-1; Micky Gallagher 0-4; Eoin Doherty 0-3; Daniel Lindsay, Sean Monaghan and Shane Callaghan 0-2 each, Matthew Doherty and Matthew Browne 0-1 each.

Robert Emmets scorers: Dominic McGlinchey 0-4, Niall Quinn and Dean Kelly 0-1 each.
