Cloughaneely held on to their Intermediate Championship status following Saturday’s comfortable IFC relegation final win over Na Rossa, at the Banks on Saturday afternoon.
Centre half forward Donnachadh O’Baoighill led the Cloughaneely charge and top scored in the 13-point win over the men from the Rosses.
Goalkeeper Shaun McClafferty, Cormac Coyle, Padraig Coyle, Sean Maguire, John Fitzgerald, Ciaran McGeady, and Padraig Duggan also scored for the winners in a tie where the men in blue and white had eight different scorers.
Facing the prospect of dropping down to the Junior Championship, having only been relegated from Senior last season, the men from the North-west led by 11 points at the break in the game.
