Rory Kavanagh and, top, Ryan McHugh and, bottom, Brendan McGuire
Rory Kavanagh and Glen, Watty Grahams are back in the Derry SFC semi-finals but Brendan McGuire’s Lavey made their exit at the hands of Slaughtneil at the weekend.
2012 All-Ireland winner Kavanagh - who bossed his native St Eunan’s to the Donegal SFC back in 2021 - oversaw Glen’s 2-19 to 1-10 win over St Mary’s, Banagher to set up a semi-final encounter with O’Donovan Rossa.

Slaughtneil will take on Sean O’Leary, Newbridge in the other last-four clash following a 3-13 to 1-15 victory over McGuire’s team. McGuire is a former Killybegs senior footballer and previously managed Favghanvalle.
Both those games are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday week.
Meanwhile, current Donegal star Ryan McHugh was listed amongst the Carrickmore backroom staff as Noel Slane’s outfit advanced to the semi-finals of the Tyrone SFC after defeating Edendork, St Malachy’s 2-17 to 0-18.
They will now take on Loughmacrory St Teresa’s in the semi-finals, while in the other last-four clash, champions Errigal Ciaran battle Trillick.
Those ties are both pencilled in for Sunday, October 12.
McHugh lined out for Kilcar a fortnight ago as Gaoth Dobhair ended their Dr MAguire aspirations in Glenties on a scoreline of 0-16 to 1-10.
