St Michael's celebrate their Junior B title win
St Michael’s 1-7
Red Hughs 0-9
Marian Doherty was the one stepping up to the plate to clip over a last-gasp fee to make sure the Donegal LGFA Junior B title went back to the Bridge at the weekend.
St Michael’s had led at the brek in Lifford after Doherty’s goal ensured a 1-3 to 0-3 upper hand.
But the Killygordon girls battled back with the likes of Eimear Gallagher, Emma Neeson and substitute Elin Gallen O’Dwyer all grabbing efforts to drag their side back into contention.
But just as it looked like this one might go to extra-time Player of the Match Doherty stepped up and decided it.
