The St Eunan's College team
St Eunan’s College 3-16
St Pius X College, Magherafelt 1-8
St Eunan’s College made it three wins from three in the MacLarnon Cup with a convincing win over St Pius X, Magherafelt at Páirc Adhamhnain.
Changed from Celtic Park in Derry to the Letterkenny venue, the home side had a strong first half and a powerful last ten minutes to seal a great win.
Six first half points from Matthew Enright, along with goals from Jack Robinson and Jack Duddy, gave them a 2-6 to 0-3 lead at the break.
And while Cathal Scullion hit the net in the second half, along with a two pointer, to take his tally to 1-5, St Eunan’s scored the last 1-5 in the game, the goal coming from Ryan Bradley, to keep up their 100% record in Group A.
St Eunan’s had a great start, and after an early Enright free, they hit the net on five minutes as Jack Robinson scrambled the ball home after good play between him and Paul Mullen.
Enright converted another free, again for an offensive breach, while Eoghan Musgrave got a first point for the visitors from a free on twelve minutes, while St Eunan’s lost captain Pauric Devine to an early injury.
But Enright replied with a great score from play along with a two point free to go seven clear.
The visitors had a couple of goal chances, but the first was well defended to stop Scullion, while Musgrave then had a shot at goal well blocked by Ryan Bradley, resulting in an injury for the Magherafelt full forward.
St Eunan’s then got their second goal, Jack Duddy winning possession in the middle of the pitch and after a 1-2 with Enright, he burst forward and found the net.
Glenswilly clubman Enright kicked another score on his weaker foot, but Scullion hit two frees to make it a nine point deficit at the break.
Scullion hit another free after the restart, with Callum McGilloway responding with a ‘45 and Shea Boyle finishing off a good move.
St Pius then hit the net as they broke quickly from the kick out, and Caodhan Kane found Scullion, who rounded Cormac Crossan and hit the net.

Liam McGinley and an Evan Hickey fisted point got the hosts going again, but Kane’s two pointer responded, while Crossan made a good save from a Scullion free.
McGinley and Scullion (free) traded scores after this to keep six in it, but St Eunan’s powered on in the final ten minutes.
Enright hit two frees, while McGilloway and his Letterkenny Gaels teammate Cathal Doherty added further scores.
And in the final minute, Enright had a shot at goal blocked, but Ryan Bradley poked home.
Jonah Canning palmed an effort off the crossbar, and Robinson’s rebound was blocked, but McGilloway converted the ‘45 to end the scoring as St Eunan’s won again.
