The countdown is on for the return of the McKenna Cup as tickets are on sale for Donegal’s opening clash with Derry.

Jim McGuinness’ men will welcome their neighbours to O’Donnell Park this Sunday, January 4, at 1.30pm.

A first return of the McKenna Cup in what is the 100th anniversary of the tournament, it’s a repeat of Donegal’s last match in the competition, when they lost to Mickey Harte’s Oak Leaf in the 2023 final by 0-12 to 0-6.

Tickets are on sale now, and fans are asked to act quickly to secure their ticket.

Fans are also reminded that tickets must be bought in advance, with no ticket sales at the ground on matchday.

Donegal will have a bye in the second game, with Derry facing Antrim at Celtic Park on Wednesday, January 7, before Jim McGuinness’ side travels to Cargin to face Mark Doran’s side on Sunday, January 11, at 1.30pm.
