No joy for Donegal contingent as Galway steamroll London in FBD League opener

Nathan McElwaine was in action for London against Galway

St Mary’s, Convoy’s Joe McGill hit all four points for London as the Exiles were heavily pummeled by Galway in the FBD League on Saturday evening.

A largely experimental Tribesmen XV comfortably overcame the visitors 3-19 to 0-4 at the Connacht GAA Centre in Mayo.

Termon’s Nathan McElwaine as well as Glenswilly’s Shaun Wogan also started for London while Gaoth Dobair’s Michael Carroll and Naomh Colmcille’s Daniel Clarke were unused substitutes.

London are expected to make wholesale changes themselves with a clash against Sligo tomorrow, Sunday, sandwiched into their cross-channel visit.

The London management team included Michael Boyle of Termon, who is working as part of Michael Maher’s coaching staff.
