Joe O’Donnell steps away from refereeing after two decades

Joe O’Donnell has decided to retire from refereeing after 20 years of service.

The Naomh Pádraig, Lifford clubman had been the man in the middle or along the lines for many club games around the county, but has decided to step away at the beginning of 2026

Joe was also a dedicated umpire to county referee Enda McFeely for many years.

Joe’s club paid tribute to him for his dedication and readiness to help out.

“After 20 years of dedication and service, we would like to say a huge thank you to Joe O’Donnell who is retiring from his role as Referee.
