Caolán McGonagle on the ball for Donegal
Caolán McGonagle received a special birthday present as he and his girlfriend Ciara welcomed baby Oisin to the world.
The Buncrana man and Ciara Gleeson celebrated the birth of their child on Friday, January 9, which was Caolan’s 30th birthday.
A teacher in Crana College, McGonagle missed out on Donegal’s Dr McKenna Cup clash with Antrim on Sunday.
“When we’re talking about big players, we probably should tip our hat to Caolan McGonagle, who had a wee baby there,” manager Jim McGuinness said after the game.

“He had his own battles in the last couple of days, but more importantly, the mammy and baby are all doing well, thank god, so that’s great.”
