O’Donnell faces stiff competition for the award. Con O’Callaghan is also shortlisted after a standout display for Dublin in their clash with Monaghan at Croke Park, while Barry McNulty earned a nomination after striking five two-pointers in Leitrim’s win over London.
Meanwhile, Brendan McCole joins O’Donnell on the GAA Team of the Week. The St Naul’s man is in line to make his one hundredth appearance for Donegal away to Armagh next weekend.
Supporters can cast their vote for the Player of the Week via the GAA’s official Instagram page, with polls closing at 10am on Tuesday, February 17.
