ATU Donegal have lifted the Higher Education Electric Ireland Freshers 2 crown after a dominant display against South East Technological University Carlow at the Louth GAA Centre of Excellence.

Under the guidance of senior Donegal star Ryan McHugh, the Letterkenny-based scholars took firm control from the throw-in and never relinquished their grip on proceedings. 

An explosive first-half performance saw them build a commanding 2-11 to 0-2 advantage by the interval.

While the second period proved more competitive, ATU Donegal continued to add to their tally and closed out the contest in impressive fashion to lift the title.
