Naomh Conaill proved to strong for the hosts in Pairc na nGael this afternoon in the opening round of Comortas Peil na Gaeltachta.
Goals from Keelan McGill and Daniel Gildea put Naomh Conaill in a commanding position at the break. Eoghan McGettigan and Darragh Cunningham both traded early points before Eoghan McGettigan put Naomh Conaill back in front in the 16th minute.
Eoghan Hegarty levelled matters before Naomh Conaill took over. Keelan McGill with 1-1 and Daniel McGlynn and Enda Gallagher added points before another Daniel Gildea goal left half time score Naomh Columba 0-3, Naomh Conaill 2-4.
Points from Daniel McGlynn, Mark Campbell and Keelan McGill put Naomh Conaill further in front before goals from Eoghan McGettigan and Daniel McGlynn put the game beyond Naomh Columba.
The home side did hit two late goals from Padraig Byrne and Kevin McNern as the final whistle went.
