Glenfin player/boss Frank McGlynn
Champions Termon are the only side left in the All-County League top tier that still have a one-hundred per cent record.
Caolan McDaid’s charges have two wins from two, away to Gaoth Dobhair and home to Glenfin, and are joined on four points at the top by Glenswilly and Frank McGlynn’s outfit.

However, both teams have played a game more with the weather interrupting fixtures across the last two weekends.
Glenfin bounced back from that 1-15 to 0-8 loss at the Burn Road at the weekend with a six-point derby win over MacCumhaills at Pairc Taobhóige on Saturday evening.
The visitors lost Joe Boyle to a red card inside the opening ten minutes while Glenfin also went down to 14 in the second period as Daniel Marley walked to a second yellow.
Player/boss McGlynn lined out at corner back for the winners and he says it was important for Glenfin to get early points on the Division 1 board.
And besides that wobble in Termon, they are content with two wins from three to date.
“The first ten to 15 minutes was nip and tuck,” McGlynn explained. “And that’s what you expect in a game against MacCumhaills.
“They went down to 14 and that gave us a little bit of extra confidence. We went in at half-time with a four or five-point cushion, and luckily, we were able to kick on.
“We knew they would close it towards the end, but thankfully, we held on for another two points.
“We lost Daniel Marley to a second yellow card but we battled on. There are plenty of positives but plenty to work on as well”.
Next up, Glenfin go away to St Eunan’s and, after that, they are back at base with Martin Regan’s SFC title holders Naomh Conaill the visitors.
Both those heavyweights have made indifferent starts to their own league campaigns so Glenfin might feel they have some momentum.
Naomh Conaill are back in tenth spot with just two points from three games while St Eunan’s are in seventh position with three from three.
Although the Letterkenny men did get things back on track at the weekend with an away win in Magheragallon, thanks to a 0-14 to 1-6 win over Gaoth Dobhair.
Glenswilly accounted for Naomh Conaill on Saturday, and in fine fashion, dishing out a 1-17 to 0-6 defeat to the Glenties side.
“Home games are important in this league and it’s the best opportunity to pick up points,” McGlynn explained. “With St Eunan’s and Naomh Conaill up next, it was important to get early points on the board.
“We played Termon last week and Dungloe in the Comórtas midweek so we’re getting plenty of runouts. So the hope is we’re sharp as a lot of games have fallen by the wayside in the last week due to the weather”.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the division, score difference splits Kilcar in fourth and St Eunan’s in seventh with Dungloe and Masters in between.
Three sides are locked on two points, Naomh Muire, Naomh Conaill and MacCumhaills while the likes of Aodh Ruadh, Gaoth Dobhair and St Michael’s have all yet to register a single point.
Although, to be fair to the Ballyshannon men, they have only played one game to date when they went down to Naomh Conaill at Fr Tierney Park, first day out, 2-12 to 4-8.
This weekend, Termon will feel they have a real chance to maintain their perfect start as they host Naomh Muire on Saturday evening.
But the Lower Rosses outfit did earn a fine home win over St Michael’s 1-16 to 0-10, last time out so it might not be that straight forward.
On Sunday, bottom-of-the-pile St Michael’s welcome Kilcar to the Bridge. The Towney men were idle at the weekend so will want to pick up where they left off, the week prior, with a 1-21 to 1-11 win over Nomh Muire.
St Eunan’s - under the guidance of Kieran Donnelly - drew with Four Masters away in Round 1 before following that up with 2-6 to 0-14 home loss to Glenswilly in O’Donnell Park.
They got things back on track at the weekend in Gaoth Dobhair so they’ll want to make home advantage count on Sunday.
Aodh Ruadh are back out on Sunday as Glenswilly arrive in Ballyshannon while the final contest at the weekend is Naomh Conaill against Gaoth Dobhair at Davy Brennan Memorial Park.
Darren McGinley’s men sit in second position while Aodh Ruadh are back in tenth. Still, Aodh Ruadh have been the least active Division 1 side so far so they’ll be itching to get gouging on their own patch on Sunday.
Naomh Conaill seem to be easing themselves out of the blocks and are missing some of their most experienced players with Donegal senior and U-20 duties being given priority.
The current Dr Maguire holders will, sooner or later, begin to pick up the pace and encounters with Gaoth Dobhauir are never dull.
