Letterkenny Gaels had a hard-fought win over Moville at Pairc na nGael on Saturday evening to make it four wins from four.

The Glebe men were first out of the blocks with early scores from Ronan Frain and Callum McGilloway. Moville then took control with two scores each from Seimi McLaughlin and Danny Murphy, followed by one from full forward Christy Hegarty.

Shay Doherty and McGilloway then hit points for the home team while Thomas Johnson responded for the Inishowen men.

In the 23rd minute, Paddy Doherty got on the end of a long ball to guide it to the net. Frain pointed twice, and McGilloway hit vital scores for Gaels, while McLaughlin and Hegarty responded late on for Moville.

Half Time Gaels 1-7 Moville 0-8.

Frain took full advantage of the slight breeze in the second half with a massive two-pointer. Frain, McGilloway and Shay Doherty all added to the Gaels' tally before Murphy and Jamie McCormick hit back for Moville.

Evan Hudner then hit a vital goal for Moville to narrow the margin to two. However, from then on, the home side took command with Shay Doherty, Paddy Doherty, Frain (2), Cathal Doherty, and McGilloway rounding off a fine performance for the home side. Murphy hit a consolation score late on to leave the final score 1-18 to 1-11.
