Milford 1-13
Naomh Columba got the better of Milford in a sunny Pairc na nGael on Saturday evening.
The home side got off to a good start by the 10th minute, leading 1-3 points to two after 15 minutes with points from Pauric Ward and an Aaron Doherty two-pointer from play.
A big moment came when Eric Carr steered the ball to the net to give the hosts a healthy lead.
Cathal McGetigan scored a two-point free before further points from Kevin McNern and a Padraig Byrne '45 had the Glen men well in control.
Milford replied with a Shea Cannon point, but another two-pointer free from Padraig Byrne followed before a long ball in by Lanty Molloy was fisted to the net by Ronan O’Hare.
Milford ended the first half scoring from Eoin O’Donnell, as the half-time score read Naomh Columba 2-7 Milford 0-4.
As the second half got underway, within two minutes Naomh Columba added to their tally with 1-1, Eric Carr pointing before Ronan O’Hare got his second major of the day as he netted from close range.
Kane Barrett got Milford on the board with a two-pointer from play, but not long after, Michael Callaghan and Phillip Doherty left plenty of breathing room.
