Naomh Ultan produced a strong second-half showing to pull clear of St Mary’s, Convoy in this league clash, eventually running out seven-point winners in front of home support.

The sides were well matched in a tight opening half, with Naomh Ultan edging it 0-4 to 0-2 at the break. 

Joe Alvey, Jack Boyle and Johnny Bach all got on the scoresheet, while Cian Kennedy kept the scoreboard moving with accurate frees as the hosts settled into the contest.

After the restart, Naomh Ultan took full control. Kennedy led the charge with an impressive personal tally of 0-6 (including 1 two-point free and 2 frees), while Patrick White chipped in with 0-2 (both from frees) as the home side steadily pulled away.

Convoy battled hard but found scores hard to come by in the second half, as Naomh Ultan’s defensive structure and work rate ensured they remained firmly in control to close out a deserved victory.
