Na Dunaibh turned in a strong second-half performance against Carndonagh on Saturday evening in Páirc Na nDunaibh to maintain their good start to the new season.
Leading by two points, 1-7 to 2-2, the locals pulled away after the break from the men from north Inishowen to claim the valuable two league points in their bid for a swift return to Division One football.

With Paddy McElwee in fine form in front of the Carndonagh posts, Gary McClafferty rolling back the years in the front line of attack, and Johnny McGroddy finding the net, Na Dunaibh outscored the men in red and green 1-11 to 1-5 in the second half.
The win, their third from four outings, sees them sitting at the top of the Division Two league table ahead of Cloughaneely and Naomh Pádraig, Uisce Chaoin on score difference. Na Dunaibh and Naomh Pádraig have played one more game than Cloughaneely.
Padraig Doherty and Olan McLaughlin scored the first-half goals for Carndonagh, while Doherty, McLaughlin, Christopher McDaid, Anthony Doherty, and John O’Callaghan were among the point scorers.
