Tomas Carr, Eoghan O'Neill and Lewis McCaughan - Ulster Colleges All-Stars
Abbey VS, Donegal Town have been rewarded for their run to the MacRory Cup semi-final in the 2025/’26 season with three players named on the All-Star football team.
Abbey were defeated in the semi-final by St Pat’s, Dungannon, a game that was played at the Naomh Brid grounds in Trummon.
Goalkeeper Lewis McCaughan, who had an outstanding year between the posts, is named at No 1.
Tight marking full-back, Eoghan O’Neill gets the No 3 jersey while Tomás Carr, who was the driving force behind the team, is named at No 9 on the team.
All three players are members of the Four Masters GAA Club and presently are members of the Donegal U-20 squad which play Tyrone in the Ulster semi-final tomorrow night Wednesday at the St Mary's ground, Convoy.
The trio follow in the footsteps of other Abbey players who have gained All-Stars in recent years including the other two Carr brothers, Turlough and Seanán, Conor McCahill and Kevin Muldoon. Peadar Mogan has also been honoured with a Schools’ All-Star when he was a pupil at Abbey VS.
