Following on from the nine debutants in Newry in Donegal's Dr McKenna Cup opener against Down, five more made their first senior appearances against Monaghan.
Paddy Carr's side went down on a 0-15 to 2-7 scoreline in Ballybofey to exit the competition, although Gavin Mulreany, Kealan Dunleavy, Gary McFadden, Philip Doherty and Kieran Tobin all tasted senior action for the first time.

That brings the total of the new players to feature for Donegal in 2023 to 14, with Domhnall Mac Giolla Bhride, Luke McGlynn, Jack McSharry, Joel Bradley Walsh, Kane Barrett, Brian O'Donnell, John Ross Molloy, Hugh O’Donnell and Johnny McGroddy all appearing for the first time on Sunday.
