Donegal featured five debutants against Monaghan - here they are

In their second Dr McKenna Cup match of the campaign against Monaghan on Tuesday night, Donegal manager Paddy Carr gave five new players their first taste of competitive action - Gavin Mulreany, Kealan Dunleavy, Gary McFadden, Philip Doherty and Kieran Tobin

McFadden was part of the Donegal minors as far back as 2014, with five Gaoth Dobhair teammates Kieran Gillespie, Cian Mulligan, Michael Carroll, Niall Friel and Gavin McBride all on the panel that won Ulster and reached the All-Ireland final. Played a huge role in his club’s 2018 Donegal SFC success, with marking jobs on Ciaran Thompson, Niall O’Donnell, Jamie Brennan and Oisin Gallen, with the Magheragallon side going on to win Ulster.
