Finn Harps take on Dundalk tonight where they will remember Ronan Roddy
Finn Harps will remember the late Ronan Roddy as they take on Dundalk FC at Oriel Park tonight in a pre-season friendly.
Ronan, who was 44 and from Trenamullin, Stranorlar, passed away at the Donegal Hospice this week and was a keen supporter of Finn Harps and a matchday steward at Finn Park. He worked in Mac's Deli in Letterkenny. For tonight's match, which kicks off at 7:45pm, Dave Rogers' side will wear black armbands in Ronan's memory.
"We are all heartbroken at the news that we have lost our man Ronan," Finn Harps FC said this week. "Our steward, supporter and our great friend. Ronan, it's impossible to imagine match nights without you. Thank you for all your help, your kindness, your sense of humour and for being such a loyal and valued member of the Finn Harps family. Our sincerest condolences to Phil, Pauline, Timothy, Louise and all of Ronan's family and friends. Ronan you'll always be part of us. RIP."
Ronan's funeral will be leaving from his home on Saturday at 10:30am for Requiem Mass in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar at 11am.
