Therese McCafferty will line out for Collingwood's VFLW side in the weeks ahead.
Therese McCafferty will line out for Collingwood’s VFLW side after the Termon girl recently joined the Aussie Rules giants’ second tier team.
McCafferty is a former Donegal star but having relocated to Australia a number of years back, she seems to have picked up the oval ball skills in impressive fashion.
The AFLW is the woman’s premier and top tier level of Australian Rules Football with Glenfin pair Yvonne Bonner, Greater Western Sydney Giants, and Katy Herron, Western Bulldogs, both having successful spells Down Under in the not too distant past.
Former Donegal stars, Aoife McDonnell and Tanya Kennedy, have also previously played at VFLW level. VFLW sides act as a developmental platform for players to progress and move onto the semi-professional ranks of the AFLW.
