Naomh Columba maintained their perfect start to the season against 13-man Dungloe after an action-packed second half in Division 2 of the All-County Football League.

Naomh Columba 1-5 Dungloe 0-6

The first half was a real battle of defences with neither team giving much away but two Oisin Bonner frees by the 15th minute gave Dungloe into a bit of a cushion by then goalkeeper Ciaran Sharkey was forced off with injury.

On the 24 minutes Eric Carr got a point from a free as the half-time score was Naomh Columba 0-1 Dungloe 0-2
The second half a Paddy Byrne free level matters and then things started to unravel for Dungloe as Darragh Gallagher collected his second yellow card and saw red , then seconds later a good ball from Padraig Byrne to Darragh Cunningham to fired past Damien McGowan for the goal.

Then, a Lanty Molloy point from play was followed by a straight red card for Jason McBride. But to Dungloe credit they never buckled, a Christy Greene point was followed by a superb point from Barry Curran and when Oisin Bonner hit another free there was only onebetween the sides with 10 minutes remaining.

A Pauric Hegarty point doubled the hosts’ advantage and with five minutes left and although Dungloe answered again with an Oisin Bonner point, Eric Carr converted a free in time added on as the final whistle went.
