Glenswilly run out comfortable winners after short journey to Letterkenny Gaels

Glenswilly continued their winning league campaign with a high scoring victory over neighbours Letterkenny Gaels at Páirc na nGael on Sunday afternoon.

The Glen men, without the services of sharpshooter Michael Murphy scored the opening point of the game from the throw in while Ronan Frain had a penalty saved in the fourth minute by Pauric O’Donnell. 

Glenswilly went on to score another four unanswered points from Caoimhin Marley, Kealan Dunleavy, Gary McFadden and Shane McDevitt. It was 0-6 to 0-1 at the break. The Gaels only point of the half came from cornerback Liam McAlary late in the first period. 

The second half was more of the same with the visitors notching up another 11 points with the lively Marley adding another three to his tally. Gaels scores in the second half came from Diarmuid ÓCathail, Matthew Winters and Cormac Doherty.
