Marc Devine was once again the star of the show as he hit an impressive 4-1 in the first half in their victory at Pairc Aodh Ruadh in a 13-a-side encounter.

Setanta survived an early surge from the home side to go in at half-time leading by 4-8 to 1-6 with Shane Brady grabbing the Aodh Rudh goal.
The home side started brightly and moved into a 0-4 to 0-0 lead by the 10th minute through points from marksman Gareth Sheerin (0-2), Cian McKeena, and Senan Rooney were all on target for the Ballyshannon team.
Setanta hit back with points from Conor McGettigan, Dean Harvey and Conor Gallen before Devine struck for the first of his three goals in six minutes. The home side went into a brief 1-4 to 1-3 lead after a goal from Shane Brady. But Setanta were only starting as Josh McGee Cronnolly levelled matters and Devine hit his second goal. Dean Harvey pointed and Devine scored a clinker of a goal. Aodh Ruadh had further points from Cian McKenna and Gareth Sheerin from a free.
Conor Gallen responded with a point from Conor Gallen with the dazzling Devine hitting his fourth goal coming up to half- time. Devine pointed a free to make it 4-8 to 1-6. And the second half was target- practice for rampant Setanta as they tagged on 1-12 to the home side’s five points. Ryan Callaghan, sub, Niall Cleary and Gallen hit points with Sheerin replying with a point from play.
Shane Brady added another with Ryan Coyle on target for Setanta along with Colm Melaught. Josh McGee Cronnolly struck for Setanta’s fifth goal which left the Finn Valley men leading by 5-13 to 1-9.
Brady and Melaugh traded points as Gallen, McGee Cronnolly, Mark Callaghan, Cleary 0-2 and Callaghan from play completed the scoring. Gareth Sheerin hit Aodh Ruadh’s final two points.
