Donegal minor ladies and management celebrate their win over Down.

Donegal Minor Ladies were far too good for Down in the Ulster Silver Final in Augher on Saturday. 

Donegal 5-11 Down 1-5

In a very impressive display, Declan McDermott’s young girls led 3-9 to 1-1 at the changeover and they comfortably seen out the remainder. 

Senior Donegal star Katie Dowds top scored with 3-2 while MacCumhaills teammate Abigail Temple Asokuh picked up the Player of the Match award. Speaking after, she said she was proud to help lead Donegal to some silverware. 

“The whole season, we have such a good group both on and off the pitch. We have such a strong squad and as a unit we work so hard up and down the pitch. We trust each other and we put everything in. You want to be there every single day, training and improving”.
