A blistering goal by Glenswilly captain Cormac Callaghan proved to be the turning point in their victory over Milford, one which maintains their 100 percent record in Division 2.
Glenswilly 2-12 Milford 1-6
The youthful hosts - who are now five from five - were a point down at the break, 1-4 to 0-6, with Darragh Black having grabbed the goal for Milford on 18 minutes having been set up by Tony McNamee following a kick-out by Kealan McFadden.
Caoimhin Marley would kick seven points in all for Glenswilly, five of which came in the opening half, with Callaghan also putting one over. For Milford, their scores came from Kyle, Darragh and Shane Black, as well as a brilliant long-range free from Connor Gormley.
Glenswilly came close to a goal in first half injury time when Emmet O’Boyle shot just wide after Shea McBride in the Milford goal had punched away a Marley floater.
Callaghan smashed past McBride from the right-hand side three minutes into the second half, with Donal Gallagher having played the final pass. Quickfire points from Marley and substitute Shane McDevitt made for a 1-8 to 1-4 home lead.
Glenswilly dominated from there on, with Milford managing just two points after the break, both through Kane Barrett - one of which came from a difficult angle before a late free. At the other end, Mark Bonner pointed before a well-worked move saw Christopher McMonagle prove the assist for Mark McAteer to score a second Glenswilly goal on 48 minutes. Marley finished off his haul before two eye-catching points in injury time from Daith Gildea and Jack Gallagher.
